Human Services
Human services in the context of a nonprofit refers to programs and initiatives that are designed to meet the essential needs of individuals and families, particularly those facing economic or social challenges. These services often include assistance with housing, food, healthcare, and other critical resources.
For a community, human services foster well-being, promote social justice and help vulnerable populations achieve stability and self-sufficiency. Nonprofits that provide human services play a key role in strengthening community resilience and improving the quality of life for those in need.

The Arc of the Glades has provided a variety of services for over forty years, including Adult Day Training, Employment Simulation, Supported Employment, Supported Living, and Community Inclusion, all designed to help individuals with I/DD achieve self-respect, independence, and personal dignity. Today, the Arc continually endeavors to meet our local I/DD community's needs by helping them become as independent as they can be, achieve their full potential in life, and learn about and access necessary and beneficial services within the community.
